I have varied IT involvement, mostly relating to General Medical Practice in the UK, but also applicable to other non-medical organisations.

• Author of the GP Website service GPUK.net
  • This is a content management system written by myself, offering secure online GP appointment booking, repeat prescription ordering, etc. GPUK.net was one of the first (maybe the first) to provide GP surgeries with .nhs.uk domain names.
• Author of the GP Vision QOF Tool QOFcountdown
  • Used by many GP practices who use INPS Vision software to analyse and improve their performance under the Quality and Outcomes Framework.
• National Vision User Group:
  • Secretary of the Executive of the National Vision User Group
  • Administrator of the NVUG Forum and Mailing Lists
    • The forum runs using the open source software FUDforum, and I have also installed and configured FUDforum for other organisations.
    • The mailing list uses EZMLM open source mailing list manager. I manage several other mailing lists besides the above.
• One of the clinicians providing clinician input in some aspects of the NHS National Programme for IT, including:
  • The Electronic Prescription Service 
  • GP2GP Electronic Record Transfer
  • and others.
• Member of the NHS Information Centre GP Consultation Group for GPES.
• Miscellaneous, such as authoring Miquest Queries and Vision Clinical Audits
