This page is for displaying a few of my favourite photos taken from a variety of subjects. Some are here because I think the subject is interesting, some because I'm pleased with them technically or artistically, and some just because I like them. I'll let you decide which is which!

Kite Flypast
Usually red kites fly above or away from you. This one obliged by flying towards and below me (I was standing on top of a dam in the Elan Valley near Rhayader in Powys, Wales).

Hovering Kestrel
Usually kestrels are seen hovering overhead. On this occasion, I was up a hilltop and a kestrel was hovering on my eye-level above a lower part of the hillside.

White-Tailed Deer
Usually these seem quite ready to run away as you approach, but this one seemed almost oblivious to us and I got within a few feet for these close-ups.
